Morning everyone, thanks for stopping by, I know how busy this time of the year can get!!!

It’s challenge time over on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge

The challenge is ‘Anything Goes’ and  we’d love to see your makes over on the blog, there’s a prize for the winner of the challenge.

For this weeks challenge, I’ve made a mini wreath using the Polkadoodles Super Sprigs die, I also used the snowflakes from the  Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection stamp sets and the oval frame from the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set.

Step By Step

1. Cut two circles from white card stock, one to create the base for the wreath and the second to cover the ribbon attachment.

2. Cut 18 sprigs using the Polkadoodles Super Sprigs die from white card stock.

3. Coloured the large sprigs with a light blue Copic pen, left the smaller sprigs white.

4. Glued the larger light blue sprigs around the edge of the circle.

5. Glued the smaller white sprigs randomly between the larger light blue sprigs.

6. Cut the oval frame, using the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set, from white card stock.

7. Stamped the ‘Wishes’ sentiment, from a Clearly Besotted stamp set, in light blue Memento ink on the oval die cut.

8. Stamped the snowflakes, from the Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection, in light blue Memento ink on the oval die cut.

9. Used some wooden alphabet letters, pressed into a Versamark ink pad and heat embossed with a WOW silver glitter embossing powder.

10. Attached a blue ribbon for the hanging to the back of the wreath, using red super sticky DS tape.

11. Adhered the second circle to cover the ribbon attachment.

12. Adhered the oval to the centre of the wreath using Pinflair 3D glue gel.

13. Glued the ‘Xmas’ letters to the oval using dries clear glue.

14. Used 3D pearls in light blue on the wreath and added some clear glitter before the 3D pearls dried.

Afternoon, sharing an art journal page made using Dylusions stamps, Pan Pastels, Magic Color Fluid Acrylic inks, Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pens and Faber Castell Pitt pens.

Step by Step

Used yellow, orange and red Pan Pastels to create the background.

Used a Versamark ink pad with a blending tool with an Imagination Crafts stencil, apply orange Pan Pastel to the stencilled areas.

Stamped the scene using black Archival ink and Dylusion stamps directly on the page.

I wanted to created a faux bleached effect so I used Spectrafix to seal the Pan Pastels, I wanted some of the colour to remain rather than being able to remove all of the colour.

Using a piece of white card stock used elements from several Dylusions stamp sets. Coloured the mixed up character with a Magic Color Fluid Acrylic inks. Used a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen to add highlights to the spots on the body and faux stitching to the wings.

Stamped the text, also from a Dylusions stamp set, onto white card stock using black Archival ink.

Used Derwent battery operate eraser to remove some of the colour from the scene created.

Adhered the text and the character using DecoArt Matte Medium.

Stamped the border using a Dylusions border stamp and black Archival ink. Coloured the border with a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen.

Added somed shadow around the character using Faber Castell Pitt pens.

Dylusions Stamps used –

Love Struck Lucy – wings and the body of my character

Pondering Petunia – head of my character

Under The Sea

Afternoon, hope you’re all enjoying your weekend!

I’ve been trying to stick to a crafty stash diet, no shopping for the past few weeks because I’m visiting the Doncaster Crafting Live show, yippee. It’s on this coming Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th July, I’ll be helping out at the workshops on the Friday, another sell out workshop day, and then I get to visit the show and shop on the Saturday, happy dance 😃

However, I gave into temptation this weekend with the release of the new Winnie collection from Polkadoodles, Starfish and Sandcastles. Bought the VIP XXL Value download bundle, well it was a bargain and I just loved all the gorgeous makes from the launch party on the Polkadoodles FB Group, you can see the stunning makes from my teamies here.

Got the acrylic paints out and created a page in one of art journals, using digis from the Starfish and Sancastles VIP bundle. The background was created using Liquitex acrylic paints, used Bee Crafty bubbles stamp with blue archival ink to add some interest to the background. I used various scroll stamps, Creative Expressions and Stampendous, to create the foliage/seaweed on the floor on the sea using archival inks and Versamark ink with mica powders, also used a stamp from Indigo Blu Circle Dot background to create some interest on the sea bed. I coloured the digi stamps, from the Polkadoodles Starfish and Sandcastles, with Copic alcohol markers and fussy cut but adhering with Deco Art Matte Medium. The text is also from Polkadoodles Starfish and Sandcastles digital collection. Finally used white gesso and an Imagination Crafts to add the bubbles.

One down, yes it’s Xmas card …..

Oh my word, a Xmas card already!!! I always leave my Xmas cards to the last minute so will I do better this year? Who knows but one down already so it’s a start lol

Sweet Poppy Stencils - Baubles

I used the SP stencil Holly Baubles with the SP white dimensional paste on white linen effect cardstock. Whilst the paste is still wet I used various SP glitters, the Sweet Poppy glitters are so so yummy.

Using the same white linen effect cardstock I stamped a sentiment, from a Clearly Besotted stamp set, using Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold detail embossing powder. I cut the sentiment out using a die, also from Clearly Besotted, and edged the banner with a gold pen.

Once the stencil paste was dry, I matted and layered onto gold mirri card and white linen effect cardstock, and finally adhered to an A5 card blank, also made from the white linen effect cardstock.
