Just Breathe – Bright and Bold Tag

Afternoon, it’s been manic here with one thing and another but things are settling down now!

Managed to get some crafting done, I’ve used one of the new dies from Polkadoodles.

If you’ve not seen the dies from Polkadoodles, I’d definitely recommend them, they cut like a dream and they release the card stock so easily. Not only do they do the job of die cutting brillantly, the prices are fabulous, prices start at just £3.49!!

Step by Step

1. Cut a tag shape from white card stock. Used Dylusions paints and a blending tool to create the base of the background on the tag.

2. Used stencils and Dylusions paints to add some interest to the background.

3. Used black archival ink and Polkadoodles stamps to create the border on the tag and to add further interest to the background. Coloured the border with a white Derwent Paint Liner pen.

4. Cut the Bubbleicious frames from white card stock. Coloured the fancy oval die cut with Dylusions paints.

5. Stamped the sentiment and butterflies, using Polkadoodles stamp sets and black Archival ink.

6. Cut the flowers and leaves from the Bubbleicious die set from white card stock. Coloured the flowers and leaves with Distress inks and Copic markers.

Imagination

Morning, sharing an another art journal page today.

Still playing around with the Dylusions paints, they are scrumptious.

Step by Step

Used Dylusion paints in Lemon Zest, Fresh Lime and Calypso Teal with a blending tool, applying in blocks randomly over th entire page.

Used a black Faber Castell Gelato to section off the colour blocks., using my finger to soften and smooth out the line.

Used black Archival ink and stamped the colour blocks, with stamps from Visible Images, Dylusions and a My Craft Studio scroll stamp.

Stencilled areas of the page with White Linen Dylusions paints using an Imagination Crafts stencil.

Cut two tag shapes, one large and one smaller, from white card stock, used Dylusion paints. Using the same colour paints as the journal page, applied with a blending tool.

Stencilled areas of the large tag with Dylusions White Linen paint and an Imagination Crafts stencil. Stamped the large tag with the eye from a Visible Image stamp set using black Archival ink.

Stencilled areas of the small tag with Fresh Lime Dylusions paint using an Imagination Crafts stencil. Used a Creative Expressions stencil with White Linen Dylusions paint to create further interest on the smaller tag.

Used black Archival ink to stamp various textures and images, using stamps from Visible Images & Hobby Art.

Used white card stock to stamp the two sentiments, both Visible Image stamps, cut them out as above.

Doodled around the edge of the individual words using a black Sakura Micron pen.

Stamped around the edge of the other piece of text using black Archival ink, inked the edge with Black Soot Distress ink.

Matted the tags and text onto black card stock, trimmed and punched a hole using a Crop-A-Dile.

Attached the black cord to the tags.

Adhered the tags and text to the page.

It felt a little too dark at this stage, so added some white circles using a Dylusions stencil, White Linen Dylusions paint and a blending tool.

Now the white circles seemed to in your face!! So used a dotty Imagination Crafts stencil and Black Marble Dylusions paint over sections of the page, tags and text.

Finally, used a Derwent Graphik Paint Liner in black around the larger white circles.
