Created the quote using a graphics program.

Printed and cut out the sunglasses and text.

Used Dylusions paints to create the background on the page, using Cherry Pie, Lemon Zest and Squeezed Orange.

To add more interest to the background, used various stencils, from Imagination Crafts & Dylusions, with a blending tool and Dylusion paints, in the same colours as above.

Used several stamps from Polkadoodles to add further interest to the background, using Archival inks in various colours.

Lemonade Fizz – used the spotty heart stamp

Also used some Hobby Art textures stamps, with Archival inks, to add depth the page.

Arranged the sunglasses and text on the page and adhered with DecoArt Matte Medium.

Used a black Posca paint pen to colour some of the sunglasses frames.

Added a border around each piece of text using black Posca paint pen.

Stamped the tiny heart, from Polkadoodles Magic Garden stamp set, in the lenses of some of the sunglasses, using black Archival ink.

Afternoon, sharing an art journal page made using Dylusions stamps, Pan Pastels, Magic Color Fluid Acrylic inks, Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pens and Faber Castell Pitt pens.

Step by Step

Used yellow, orange and red Pan Pastels to create the background.

Used a Versamark ink pad with a blending tool with an Imagination Crafts stencil, apply orange Pan Pastel to the stencilled areas.

Stamped the scene using black Archival ink and Dylusion stamps directly on the page.

I wanted to created a faux bleached effect so I used Spectrafix to seal the Pan Pastels, I wanted some of the colour to remain rather than being able to remove all of the colour.

Using a piece of white card stock used elements from several Dylusions stamp sets. Coloured the mixed up character with a Magic Color Fluid Acrylic inks. Used a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen to add highlights to the spots on the body and faux stitching to the wings.

Stamped the text, also from a Dylusions stamp set, onto white card stock using black Archival ink.

Used Derwent battery operate eraser to remove some of the colour from the scene created.

Adhered the text and the character using DecoArt Matte Medium.

Stamped the border using a Dylusions border stamp and black Archival ink. Coloured the border with a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen.

I’ve used the brand new Tropical Oceans stamp set, along with text from Tropical Flowers 1 stamp set both from Polkadoodles.

Step by Step

1. Cut a rectangular piece of white card stock, approx 2 1/2 X 3 1/2″.

2. Create masks for the seashell, starfish and boat, from the Tropical Oceans stamp set

3. Stamped the boat, using black Versafine ink. Masked the boat and stamped the lighthouse and seagull.

4. Stamped the text from the Tropical Flowers 1 stamp set.

5. Coloured the background and stamped images with Pan Pastels.

6. Matted the design onto black card stock using 3D foam pads.

7. Take a 6×6″ card blank, stamp the seashell, using black Versafine, directly onto the card blank. Mask the seashell and stamp the starfish. Leave the mask for the seashell and add the mask for the starfish, stamp the ship’s wheel. Remove the masks.

8. Using a Sakura micron pen draw a wiggle line border around the edge of the card blank.

9. Attach the focal image to the card blank using 3D foam pads.

Imagine Art Journal Page

Evening all, been playing in one of my art journals with a couple of new stamp sets from Leonie Pujol.

I pulled out the Pan Pastels for this page, I’ve not really got to grips with the Pan Pastels so I really must use them more often!!

Step by Step

1. Used Pan Pastels, in yellow & turquoise, to create the background.

2. Stamped the scene using stamps from Leonie Pujol (bird, branch, flowers, leaves and text border) using Versafine ink pad.

3. Coloured the branches and leaves with Faber Castell Polychromo pencils.

4. Stamped the bird and flowers on to a separate piece of paper and coloured with Pan Pastels, in red & yellow. Fussy cut the bird and flowers.

5. Adhered the flowers and bird on the art journal page.

6. Stamped the ‘Imagine….’ sentiment, from Inkylicious, using a Versafine ink pad.

7. Used a Sakura Micron pen to add the border to the art journal page.

Sshhh, don’t tell anyone, I coloured and cut the birds and flowers separately because I started colouring the flowers directly on the page with pencils and hated what I’d done so it was an easy fix!!!
