Evening all, yes, yes, I know it’s been an age since I blogged!

I’m back now and hopefully I’ll be sharing regularly.

 

Anyway, sharing a make using the one of the new releases from Stamps By Me Ltd.

 

Always Loved, Stamping, Brushos, Stamps By Me Ltd

 

Step By Step

1. Spritzed a sheet of A4 white card stock with water and sprinkled with yellow, orange and red Brusho crystals. Spritz the Brushos a little more to get a more blended effect.

2. Trimmed card stock to fit the A5 black card blank.

3. Stamped the buttercup several times, from the Stamps By Me Ltd Always Loved stamp set, using black Archival ink.

4. Stamped the buttercup a couple of times onto the off cut piece of card, fussy cut the individual flowers to decoupage onto the main image.

5. Stamped part of the sentiment, also from the Stamps By Me Ltd Always Loved stamp set, using black Archival ink.

6. Used Black Soot Distress ink and a blending tool to frame the image.

7. Matted onto white card stock and added a black ribbon and bow.

8. Adhered to the A5 black card blank.

9. Added the individual flowers, shaped with an embossing tool, using 3D Pinflair glue gel.

10. Used Glossy Accents on the decoupaged flowers and added some Glossy Accents ‘pearls’ around the edge of the image.

Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge – Week 1 – Anything Goes

Happy New Year, I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas

Where did 2016 go?? Last year went so fast!!

 

Starting the year, sharing a make for the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge, with some of the new gorgeous stamps, dies and paper pads from Polkadoodles.

 

 

Step by Step

1. Painted an inexpensive box frame with chalk paints and a crackle glaze.

2. Used stamps from the Polkadoodles Belle Papillon kit and Archival ink, grey and pink, to stamp directly on the box frame.

3. Trimmed a paper from the Belle Papillon paper pad, also from the Belle Papillon kit, to fit inside the box frame.

4. Cut the butterfly using the Belle Papillon dies and paper from the Belle Papillon paper pad, from the Belle Papillon kit.

5. Stamped the butterfly die cut with the co-ordinating stamp from the Belle Papillon stamp set, from the Belle Papillon kit.

6. Cut the leaves using dies and paper from the Belle Papillon kit.

7. Painted some wooden letters with chalk paint.

8. Adhered the butterflies and embellishments inside the box frame.

Spread Your Wings – Art Journal

Evening, sharing an art journal page today. The weather is pretty yuck here,but we have been fortunate and not had any really nasty weather, so decided to ignore the grim rain and winds and went for bright, bold and sunny art journal page.

 

Art Journal, Mixed Media, Dylusions, Dyan Reaveley, Stamps By Me Ltd, stamping, stencils, Faber Castell Pitt Pens

 

Step By Step

1. Used a baby wipe and Dylusions paints, Bubblegum Pink, Squeezed Orange and Lemon Zest, to create the base for the background. Added some Calypso Teal Dylusions paint randomly using a spatula.

2. Used various stencils, from Imagination Crafts, Viva Decor, Creative Expressions & Dylusions, with the same Dylusions paints colours used for the background plus Dylusions Black Marble and White Linen. Highlighted some of the stencilling with a white Dylusions paint pen.

3. Stamped the leaves at the top of the page using black Archival ink and the Stamps By Me Ltd – Foliage stamp set.

4. Stamped the flowers at the bottom of the page using Dylusions stamps, Anatomy of a Page stamp set, using black Archival ink.

5. On white card stock stamped the bird, from Stamps By Me Ltd – Christmas Greeting stamp set, using black Archival ink. Coloured the bird using Zig Clean Color pens.

6. Stamped the sentiment from a Dylusions stamp onto white card stock using black Archival ink.

7. Used a white Dylusions paint pen to draw rough, sketchy lines around the leaves at the top of the page.

8. Coloured the flowers at the bottom of the page using Faber Castell Pitt pens.

9. Adhered the bird and sentiment using Deco Art Matte Medium.

10. Added some shadow around the bird and sentiment using a Faber Castell Pitt pen.

Beautiful World

Afternoon, how was your weekend? We had a busy time, very tiring, but it was lovely weekend visiting the eldest at Uni.

 

Sharing a recent make using Stamps By Me stamp sets – Foliage stamp set and How Beautiful sentiment stamp.

 

 

Step by Step

1. Cut a piece of white card stock to fit the 8×8″ card blank. Used Dylusions paints and a brayer to create the background.

2. Once the background was dry, I used a black Archival ink pad with one of the leaves from the Stamps By Me – Foliage stamp set.

3. Used an oval die to cut out the centre of the background and a cut a larger oval from black card stock.

4.  Stamped the sentiment, Stamps By Me – How Beautiful stamp set, using black Archival ink onto the oval. Matted onto the larger black oval.

5. Used a white Derwent Graphik paint liner pen to draw sketchy lines around the leave images.

6. Cut mats to layer to focal background in white and black card stock,  matted and layered onto the 8×8″ card blank.

7. Matted the sentiment onto the 8×8″ card blank.

Stronger Than You Know

Morning, sharing another project made for the Create and Craft Stamps by Me show, shown on Tuesday 1st Nov. If you missed the show, you can catch up online on the Create and Craft website, here.

 

 

Step by Step

1. Took a piece of white tissue paper, slightly larger than the 5×7″ canvas board, scrumpled up the tissue paper. Applied a coat of matte Mod Podge to the canvas and stuck down the tissue paper. Applied a coat of matte Mod Podge over the entire canvas.

2. Once the Mod Podge was dry, used a Creative Expressions mini stencil and DecoArt white modelling paste to create additional texture to the background.

3. Once the modelling paste was dry, used Faber Castell Gelatos, in orange, yellow and red shades, to cover the entire canvas. Sealed the FC Gelatos using DecoArt Matte Medium and a sponge.

4. Once the Matte Medium was completely dry, used DecoArt Metallic Lustre Wax to highlight the texture in the background.

5. Using white card stock, stamped the butterflies, from the Stamps By Me Lamination Butterfly stamp set, with Distress inks and black Generation INX.

6. Stamped the foliage, from the Stamps By Me Lamination Foliage stamp set, onto white card stock using Memento inks, in various shades of green, and black Generation INX.

7. Cut out the stamped images and text from the Mixed Up magazine ‘Inspiring Words’ printable, October 2016 issue.

8. Adhered the butterflies using Pinflair 3D glue gel and embellished with Glossy Accents and crystal glitter.

9. Adhered the text using DecoArt Matte Medium. Once the Matte a medium was dry, used a Faber Castell Pitt pen around the edge of the text.

10. Adhered some paper flowers and the foliage using Pinflair 3D glue gel.
