Sing – Clarity Groovi

Afternoon, I’ve completed another parchment project, I’ve a little stash of on going prachment projects!

Sing, Clarity Stamps, Groovi Parchment

I used a few different plates and borders to create the design, colouring the flowers and bird with Promarkers. Securing the completed design with white brads onto some aqua card stock. Did some simple matting and layering before mounting onto a DL landscape card, embellishing the flower centers and border with liquid pearls, sprinkling with some glitter before the liquid pearl dried.

Cherish, Clarity Groovi Plates

Afternoon, hope you are having a crafty day!

Finishing off some projects this afternoon, I’ve got quite a few parchment projects to complete.

This is one I completed today, I was brave and attempted picot edges!! I’ve still got to practice and this is by no means perfect but unless I practice the technique I’m not going to improve. I think I’ve figured out a few of my issues with the technique, I was putting the scissors into too far, I was trying to cut rather than snip and I was twisting the scissors rather than rolling them plus my piercing was not as neat as it should be.

Once I’d completed my design on the Groovi system, I used a variety of plates and borders, I did a little white work and coloured with Promarkers. I also repeated some of the designs on another piece of parchment so I could decoupage up elements. I’m not sure if you can see in the photo but I decoupaged up the large flower and the smaller leaves.

I matted the parchment onto green card stock, using white brads to secure, and mounted onto the card blank with 3D foam pads. I decoupaged up the flowers and leaves with Pinflair 3D glue gel and used liquid pearls on the centre of the flowers.

Thank You – Clarity Stamps Groovi

Afternoon, hope you’re all well.

Sharing a Groovi make today, I used elements from the Funki Henna border plate to create the focal point of the card. Rather than using my Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils, I though I try out my Promarker pens on the parchment. I created the focal panel and did three individual flowers and after colouring I cut them out and used Pinflair 3D glue gel to add to the panel, embellishing with a few die cut leaves & flourishes. I stamped the ‘Thank You’ using an Archival ink pad and a sentiment from a Clearly Besotted stamp set. I matted the parchment panel onto some pink cardstock using some white brads.

Three Little Birds – Clarity Stamps Groovi Plate

Afternoon all, another late post but better late than never! Sharing another make with my latest crafty toy, the Clarity Stamps Groovi system.

 Step By Step

1. I started using the Groovi square and round plates to create the frame, adding a little decoration to the frame using the square plate to add the small squares and then embossing.

2. I used the Three Wrens Groovi plate to create the focal point of the design.

3. Using the Alphabet on the Groovi Plate Mate created the text ‘Mum’

4. Did a little embossing on the leaves.

5. Add a heart to the corners, using a section from one of the corners from the Lace Corners Border plate.

6. Coloured areas of the design using Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils.

7. Matted the finished parchment onto blue cardstock, using the Clarity Groovi Corner punch.

8. Added flat back pearl pearls to embellish.

9. Matted onto card base using 3D foam tape.

Quick confession I did make a bit of mess of the ‘U’ in Mum, I hadn’t tape down the parchment and it slipped. I didn’t line the ‘U’ back up properly after it had moved!  I redid the ‘U’ on a scrap of parchment paper and coloured with pencils. Once I’d cut out the replacement ‘U’, I glued onto the parchment using Pinflair glue gel and left to dry. I wasn’t sure if the glue would show through but fortunately it didn’t πŸ™‚

Joy – Clarity Groovi Plate

Afternoon, I did intend blogging much earlier but the internet keeps dropping here! But we seem to be sorted now, fingers crossed πŸ™‚

My very wonderful hubby bought me the Clarity Groovi starter set, plus some of the additional plates & borders, for Valentines this year. I’ve been seriously tempted with the Groovi since it was released but had managed to resist but I saw the lovely Maria Simms, at the Manchester City craft show demoing on one of the stands. Maria gave me the opportunity to have a play with the system and my resistance failed!!! I have to say I’m really enjoying my new crafty toy and I’ve actually made several cards already with the Groovi.

Here’s my first attempt with the Groovi, really pleased with how it turned out, it’s not perfect but for my first try I’m very happy with the result πŸ™‚

Joy - Clarity Stamps Groovi

 Step by Step

1. I began my creating the frame using the Square Groovi plate, then used the Circle at Groovi plate to create the focal area for the design.

2.  I used the Wild Flowers Groovi plate to create the focal design of the card.

3. The ‘Joy’ was added using the alphabet from the Groovi plate mate.

4. I used one designs from the Groovi borders set 1 &2 to add the dotted border in one of the frames.

5. Using the Wild Flowers Groovi plate and the Circle Groovi plate to add a design to one of the frames.

6. I did a little white work, embossing the flowers and some of the circles in the frame.

7. Finally, I coloured the reverse of the parchment using Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils, they worked brilliantly on the parchment and blended together so easily.

8. I trimmed the parchment to size and matted onto a piece of orange card stock, attaching with brads, and mounted onto to my card base with 3D foam tape.
