Always Flowers ….

Afternoon, been playing in my art journal with acrylic paints and stamps.

Created the base of the background using acrylic paints, in yellow, orange and purple.

Used various stencils, from Clarity Stamps & Creative Expressions, to add interest to scene using acrylic paints and a make up sponge.

Used various stamps, from Indigo Blu, Sheena Douglass, Tim Holtz & Hobby Art, to add to the background using Archival & Stazon inks in various colours.

Used a white gel pen to add some highlights and emphasis areas of the stenciled background.

Stamped the stems & leaves from Polkadoodles Daisy Days stamp set, using black Archival ink, directly on the art journal page.

On some white card stock stamped the flower heads & butterflies, also from Polkadoodles Daisy Days stamp set, using black Archival ink.

Coloured the flower heads, butterflies & stems with Faber Castell Pitt pens.

Used a script stamp, from Indigo Blu, to stamp over the flower heads.

Cut out the flower heads and butterflies and adhered to the page.

Stamped the quote, from a Card-io stamp set, using black Archival ink. Cut out and adhered to the page.

Used a stamp, from Polkadoodles Little Kingdom stamp set, to create the border at the top and bottom of the page. Coloured with Faber Castell Pitt pens and used a white gel pen to add the dots.

Afternoon, another make using some of my new crafty buys from Crafting Live Doncaster.

Had a play with some of my new Card-io stamps.

Die cut an oval, a Tattered Lace die, from some scrap card to create a mask for the text area.

Cut a piece of white card stock to fit an 8×8″ card blank.

Laid the oval mask on the card stock and used Adirondack inks and Inkylicious ink dusters to create the background colour.

Removed the mask and stamped the scene using various Card-io stamps sets, using black Versafine ink.

Used a black Sakura Micron to edge the oval, stamped the text, also a Card-io stamp, using black Versafine ink.

Added some sparkle to the cobweb using a clear Sakura Stardust pen.

Used Black Soot Distress ink around the edge of the scene.

Mounted onto the card blank using 3D foam pads.

Used a black Sakura Micron pen to create a border around the scene.

Afternoon, sharing another make using some of my new crafty goodies bought at the Crafting Live Doncaster show.

Bought quite a few Card-io stamp sets at the show, even bought some Xmas ones so I will get started on my Xmas cards before December!!! This card uses a few different sets plus some Card-io stamps that I already had in my stash 🙂

Step by Step

1. Cut white card stock to fit 6×6″ card blank. Created the background colour using Inkylicious ink dusters and Adirondack ink pads.

2. Used various stamps from Card-io, stamping in shades of greens, browns & black, to create the scene.

3. Used a Sakura clear Stardust pen to add some sparkle to the cobweb. Used a brown fine liner pen to attach my stamped spider to the cobweb.

4. Edge the card using a blender and Black Soot Distress ink pad.

5. Matted the scene onto green card stock using 3D foam pads, adhered to the card blank using DS tape.
