Rainbow Sprinkle

Afternoon, sharing the first page in my black square Dylusions journal. I bought the journal a few weeks ago but for some reason couldn’t get started in it!! Having done my monochrome doodled Digi Choosday challenge piece, which you can see here, it twigged how to get started in the black journal and this is the result.

Rainbow Sprinkles, Dylusions, Stamping, Stencils, Art Journal, Mixed Media, Dylusions, Dyan Reaveley

Step by Step

Used the Dylusions journal block and a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen to create the frame.

Used circle stencil, from Clarity Stamps Basic Backgrounds A5 stencil set, to draw the circles inside the frame.

Doodled the frame and circles using a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen.

Added a faux stitch effect around the edge of the page using a white Derwent Graphik Paint Liner pen.

Stamped the bird and flower, Dylusions stamp sets – Put A Bird On It and Doodled Blooms, onto a piece of pre-Coloured card stock, it was a left over piece of a master board that I’d created previously, using black Archival ink.

Add some extra detail to the bird and flower using Magic Color Fluid Acrylic inks.

Stamped the text from a Dylusions clear stamp set onto white card stock, using black Archival ink.

Adhered the flower, bird and text to the page using DecoArt Matte Medium.

You made this for me, didn’t you Gail? lol.
I think I really am a rainbow sprinkle in a sometimes vanilla world.
That’s why us crafters and artists recognise each other. We all share the same colours of sprinkles!
LOVE this fabulous page. Well done Gail. Another triumph!
