Don’t Do It!!!

Got my crafty mitts on some Dylusion paints, lurveeeee them and I need the rest of the colours!

This is an A5 journal, very good paper in the book and it was very inexpensive, my only bug bear is that it doesn’t lie flat when opened. In all fairness though it is more of a sketch book so it wasn’t made to lie flat when opened and I do know this so why I choose to do a double spread knowing I would have problems stamping or stencilling in the spine was a ditsy thing to do. I’ve got a couple of the Dylusion journals now which do lie flat when opened so problem solved for double spreads!!

Step by Step

Used Dylusions paints, in tamgerine dream, bubblegum pink, postbox red and lemon zest, with a blending tool to apply the colour to the art journal page.

Used various Dylusion stencils with the Dylusions paints, as above plus Black Marble Dylusion paint, to add interest to the background.

Used the White Linen Dylusion paint with a Sheena Douglass stamp.

Used Dylusion stamps with Archival inks, in pink and black.

Stamped the character using black Memento ink onto white card stock, coloured with Copic markers.

Stamped the text using black Archival ink onto white card stock.

Used a white gel pen to colour the borders and highlight some of the stencilled sections of the page.

Cut out the text and character and adhered to the journal page, using DecoArt Matte Medium.

I’ll be entering the following challenges –
