Sing – Clarity Groovi

Afternoon, I’ve completed another parchment project, I’ve a little stash of on going prachment projects!

Sing, Clarity Stamps, Groovi Parchment

I used a few different plates and borders to create the design, colouring the flowers and bird with Promarkers. Securing the completed design with white brads onto some aqua card stock. Did some simple matting and layering before mounting onto a DL landscape card, embellishing the flower centers and border with liquid pearls, sprinkling with some glitter before the liquid pearl dried.

Dramatic Sky – Stamp Soup Lavender Tea

Morning, how are we all today?

Sharing a moody, dramatic card, today, made using Polkadoodles Lavender Tea Stamp Soup stamp set.

Dramatic Sky, Polkadoodles, Stamp Soup, Lavender Tea

Step by Step

1. Cut card stock to desired size, using sprays made from fluid acrylic inks mist the card stock, I used yellow, green & blue sprays. Allow to dry naturally or heat set with a heat gun.

2. Using Rangers Archival inks in coordinating colours create some interest and depth to the background using texture and script stamps, I’ve used stamps from Inkylicious and Hobby Art.

3. Use a blue Memento ink pad and blending tool to ink around th edges of the card stock.

4. Create your flower head using your Lavender Tea Stamp Soup stamp set, stamping with black Memento ink onto Ultimate Graphic paper and colour with Copic pens. Fussy cut the flower heads.

5. Using black Archival ink stamp the stem of the flowers, I placed the flower heads on the card stock so I could judge where the stems needed to be positioned. Stamp the grasses & spores around the bottom of the stems and also at the top of the background.

6. Colour the stems and spores with Faber Castell Pitt pens and glue down the flower heads

7. Matt the background onto green card stock using 3D foam pads, before mounting onto the black card blank, I folded my own A5 card blank using A4 card stock.

Cherish, Clarity Groovi Plates

Afternoon, hope you are having a crafty day!

Finishing off some projects this afternoon, I’ve got quite a few parchment projects to complete.

This is one I completed today, I was brave and attempted picot edges!! I’ve still got to practice and this is by no means perfect but unless I practice the technique I’m not going to improve. I think I’ve figured out a few of my issues with the technique, I was putting the scissors into too far, I was trying to cut rather than snip and I was twisting the scissors rather than rolling them plus my piercing was not as neat as it should be.

Once I’d completed my design on the Groovi system, I used a variety of plates and borders, I did a little white work and coloured with Promarkers. I also repeated some of the designs on another piece of parchment so I could decoupage up elements. I’m not sure if you can see in the photo but I decoupaged up the large flower and the smaller leaves.

I matted the parchment onto green card stock, using white brads to secure, and mounted onto the card blank with 3D foam pads. I decoupaged up the flowers and leaves with Pinflair 3D glue gel and used liquid pearls on the centre of the flowers.

Remember You Are Loved

Morning, hope you’re all well today!

Sharing an art journal page today, got nice and inky and messy creating this page.

Remember You Are Loved, Art Journal, Indigi Blu

 Step by Step

1. Gave the page in my journal a quick coat of white gesso.

2. Used an Imagination Crafts stencil and some white Art Deco Modelling Paste to create some texture in the background.

3. Used Faber Castell Gelatos to create the basis of the background, used a water downed white gesso to tone down the Gelatos and blend them together more.

4. Took some fluid acrylic ink sprays, in pink, yellow & orange, and sprayed over the page.

4. Used various stamps, from Creative Expressions, Inkylicious & Hobby Art, to create interest in the background, using various colours of Rangers Archival ink pad.

5. Stamped the girls image & text, both are from an Indigo Blu stamp set, using black Memento ink onto Ultimate Graphic paper, from Polkadoodles.

6. Coloured the girl using Copic pens.

7. Die cut several different size hearts, I used a Tattered Lace die set, from a book page.

8. Sprayed the hearts with fluid acrylic ink sprays. Heat set the sprays, stamped with Tim Holtz stamp using a brown Archival ink.

9. Glued the girls and hearts to the art journal page using Art Deco Matte Medium.

10. Used Faber Castell Pitt pens around the girl and hearts to make them pop on the page.

11. Glued the stamped text into the large heart, using Art Deco Matte Medium. Applied a thin coat of Matte Medium over the whole page. Heat set the Matte Medium, then coloured the text with FC Pitt pens.

12. Used a FC Pitt pen around the edge of the page to frame it.

Hearts and Flowers – Stamp Soup Lemonade Fizz

Afternoon, hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend in the UK!

I’m sharing a make using the Lemonade Fizz Stamp Soup stamp set from Polkadoodles,.

I just love these new collections from Polkadoodles they are just so versatile.

Hearts and Flowers, Stamp Soup, Lemonade Fizz, Polkadoodles

Step by Step

1. Cut white card stock to size, to fit an embossing folder. I wanted to emboss my card stock but I wanted a smooth unembossed area to create a focal point. To do this, I took a stencil and with the card stock in the embossing folder (I used a Tattered Lace embossing folder), laid the stencil on the outside/top of the embossing folder (NOT inside the embossing folder or you will damage your stencil) and ran through my die cutting machine. I used the plain circle stencil, from Clarity Stamp, it’s a square stencil with a circle cut out of the centre, this allowed me to emboss the outside frame and have no embossing in the middle.

3. Use Creative Expressions Colour Cloud blending inks to colour the background.

3. Stamp the flower and text using black Archival ink and the Polkadoodles Lemonade Fizz Stamp Soup stamp set.

4. Colour the stem & leaves with Faber Castell Pitt pens. In the coloured background area, you can remove the blending inks by taking a wet paintbrush and painting in the area and blotting with a tissue. Once the area is dry colour with the FC Pitt pens.

5.. Take another small piece of white card stock and stamp out the heart petals and leaves to decoupage up the flower.

6. Colour the petals with the Colour Cloud blending inks and the leaves with FC Pitt pens, cut out the petals and leaves.

7. Using a black Sakura Micron pen add wiggly lines around the circle and edge of the background.

8. Matt the background onto black card stock and adhere to your card blank, I used a 8×8″ card blank.

9. Decoupage your petals and leaves using Pinflair 3D glue gel.

10. Use black Card Kandi in the four corners to finish.
