Evening all, yes, yes, I know it’s been an age since I blogged!

I’m back now and hopefully I’ll be sharing regularly.

 

Anyway, sharing a make using the one of the new releases from Stamps By Me Ltd.

 

Always Loved, Stamping, Brushos, Stamps By Me Ltd

 

Step By Step

1. Spritzed a sheet of A4 white card stock with water and sprinkled with yellow, orange and red Brusho crystals. Spritz the Brushos a little more to get a more blended effect.

2. Trimmed card stock to fit the A5 black card blank.

3. Stamped the buttercup several times, from the Stamps By Me Ltd Always Loved stamp set, using black Archival ink.

4. Stamped the buttercup a couple of times onto the off cut piece of card, fussy cut the individual flowers to decoupage onto the main image.

5. Stamped part of the sentiment, also from the Stamps By Me Ltd Always Loved stamp set, using black Archival ink.

6. Used Black Soot Distress ink and a blending tool to frame the image.

7. Matted onto white card stock and added a black ribbon and bow.

8. Adhered to the A5 black card blank.

9. Added the individual flowers, shaped with an embossing tool, using 3D Pinflair glue gel.

10. Used Glossy Accents on the decoupaged flowers and added some Glossy Accents ‘pearls’ around the edge of the image.

Polkadoodles Crafting – Week 2 – Anything Goes Challenge

It’s challenge time over on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge

The challenge is ‘Anything Goes’ and  we’d love to see your makes over the blog, there’s a prize for the winner of the challenge.

For this weeks challenge I’ve used Polkadoodles Belle Papillon printable collection, available on CD-ROM or as a download, along with Polkadoodles Belle Papillon stamp set, Polkadoodles dies – Elegant NestButterfly 1 doublet and Elegant Flourish.

 
 
 


Step by Step
 
1. Created a card blank using cream card stock and a circle die.
 
2. Printed various papers & ephemera from the Belle Papillon printable collection.
 
3. Used the largest die from the Polkadoodles Elegant Nest to cut the frame from cream card stock. Used an oval die to cut the centre from the Elegant Nest die cut.
 
4. Embossed the die cut frame, using a Tattered Lace script embossing folder. Gave the frame a metallic vintage feel using DecoArt paints and Metallic Lustre wax.
 
5. Die cut the butterfly and flourish, stamped the die cuts using the co-ordinating stamps from the Belle Papillon stamp set.
 
6. Adhered the elements to the card blank, embellished with flat back pearls, lace and paper flowers.

Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge – Week 1 – Anything Goes

Happy New Year, I hope you’ve all had a great Christmas

Where did 2016 go?? Last year went so fast!!

 

Starting the year, sharing a make for the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge, with some of the new gorgeous stamps, dies and paper pads from Polkadoodles.

 

 

Step by Step

1. Painted an inexpensive box frame with chalk paints and a crackle glaze.

2. Used stamps from the Polkadoodles Belle Papillon kit and Archival ink, grey and pink, to stamp directly on the box frame.

3. Trimmed a paper from the Belle Papillon paper pad, also from the Belle Papillon kit, to fit inside the box frame.

4. Cut the butterfly using the Belle Papillon dies and paper from the Belle Papillon paper pad, from the Belle Papillon kit.

5. Stamped the butterfly die cut with the co-ordinating stamp from the Belle Papillon stamp set, from the Belle Papillon kit.

6. Cut the leaves using dies and paper from the Belle Papillon kit.

7. Painted some wooden letters with chalk paint.

8. Adhered the butterflies and embellishments inside the box frame.

Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge – Week 50 – Anything Goes

 Morning everyone, thanks for stopping by, are you all prepared for the Christmas festivities??

It’s challenge time over on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge

The challenge is ‘Anything Goes’ and  we’d love to see your makes over the blog, there’s a prize for the winner of the challenge.

For this weeks challenge, I’ve made a card using papers from the Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection and several Polkadoodles dies to create the wreath, Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set, Polkadoodles Flowers 1 die set & Polkadoodles Cherry Blossom Branch die set.

Step by Step
 
1. Printed out two of the delicious papers from the Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection. Edged both pieces of paper with co-ordinating Memento inks and a blending tool. Matted the green paper onto the 8×8″ cream card blank and matted the gorgeous poinsettia paper on top.
 
2. Printed a sheet of green, red and a patterned paper, all from the Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection, to use for die cutting the elements for the wreath.
 
3. Printed a sheet of sentiments, also from the Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection. Used one of the tag sentiments and used a circle die to cut out the sentiment in the centre of the tag. Adhered the circle sentiment to the card blank.
 
4. Using a scrap of white card stock cut a circle frame for the base to attach my wreath die cut elements.
 
 5. Cut several leaves from the green paper using the leaves from the Polkadoodles Flowers 1 die set cut.
 
6. Cut the several small flowers from the red paper using the smallest flower from Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set.
 
7. Cut several of the leaves from both the red and patterned paper using the leaves from the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set.
 
8. Cut a branch from the red paper using the Polkadoodles Cherry Blossom die set.
 
9. Used co-ordinating Memento ink to ink around the edges of the die cuts.
 
10. Glued the large leaves to circle frame to create the body of the wreath, embellished the wreath with the flowers, small leaves and branch pieces. Added some flat back flowers gems to the flower centres and some flat back red gems for berries to the wreath.
 
11. Adhered the wreath to the card blank using Pinflair 3D glue gel. Embellished the corners with red flat back gems.

Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge – Week 49 – Anything Goes

 Morning everyone, thanks for stopping by, I know how busy this time of the year can get!!!

It’s challenge time over on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge

The challenge is ‘Anything Goes’ and  we’d love to see your makes over on the blog, there’s a prize for the winner of the challenge.

For this weeks challenge, I’ve made a mini wreath using the Polkadoodles Super Sprigs die, I also used the snowflakes from the  Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection stamp sets and the oval frame from the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set.

 

 

Step By Step

1. Cut two circles from white card stock, one to create the base for the wreath and the second to cover the ribbon attachment.

2. Cut 18 sprigs using the Polkadoodles Super Sprigs die from white card stock.

3. Coloured the large sprigs with a light blue Copic pen, left the smaller sprigs white.

4. Glued the larger light blue sprigs around the edge of the circle.

5. Glued the smaller white sprigs randomly between the larger light blue sprigs.

6. Cut the oval frame, using the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set, from white card stock.

7. Stamped the ‘Wishes’ sentiment, from a Clearly Besotted stamp set, in light blue Memento ink on the oval die cut.

8. Stamped the snowflakes, from the Polkadoodles Festive Christmas collection, in light blue Memento ink on the oval die cut.

9. Used some wooden alphabet letters, pressed into a Versamark ink pad and heat embossed with a WOW silver glitter embossing powder.

10. Attached a blue ribbon for the hanging to the back of the wreath, using red super sticky DS tape.

11. Adhered the second circle to cover the ribbon attachment.

12. Adhered the oval to the centre of the wreath using Pinflair 3D glue gel.

13. Glued the ‘Xmas’ letters to the oval using dries clear glue.

14. Used 3D pearls in light blue on the wreath and added some clear glitter before the 3D pearls dried.
